Faye Wu

Faye brings 20 years of teaching and administrative experience
in the education field. Faye is a native Mandarin speaker and
holds a MS in Education from Southern Illinois University. |

Jackie Say

Jackie has managed and coordinated the day-to-day
administrative activities and program support of New Sprouts
Chinese School for the last three years. She is also communications
officer and liaison contact between school and student families.
Jackie has a double B.S. degree in Child Psychology and Speech and
Language Disorders from Cornell University. |

Shudan Wang

|
Wang Lao Shi is our head teacher and developer
of the CCEA/New Sprouts educational curriculum. She brings over
20 years of preschool and grade school level teaching experience
from both China and the United States. She has completed several
intensive training programs for teaching Chinese as a Second
Language at Beijing University in China. Shudan passed the CSET
in 2006, and is CPR trained. She is passionate and engaging.
Her energy level is contagious as always displayed in her classes.

Ya Zhi He

|
He Lao Shi has over a decade of elementary level teaching experience
from China. She joined CCEA in 2007 to teach our pre-K program.
Her talents and interests are far and wide, including experience
in teaching Chinese traditional martial arts (Tai Chi) and playing
the Chinese traditional instrument (Gu Zhen). She also enjoys
Chinese calligraphy and art, singing and dancing. She brings
a gentle style and calmness that captivates our young beginners.

Shirley Zhang

|
Zhang Lao Shi joins CCEA after teaching preschool and kindergarten
for several years in China. She has trained as an early childhood
educator at both Chabot Community College and Berkeley Montessori
School. She enjoys playing classical piano, and singing and
dancing. Her patience and creativity engages children of all
ages.

Chenxia Zhu

Zhu Lao Shi has a bilingual education from Guangdong University
and State University of New York. She is excited to be joining
CCEA/New Sprouts. She is an accomplished writer and storyteller
and hopes to use her skills in music and prose to teach Chinese
language and culture to children. |
Eva Long

|
Long Lao Shi has taught Chinese as a Second Language for
several years in China and the United States. She is musically
inclined and has a gift for organization. She assists the
head teacher with selecting and editing teaching materials,
developing training events and curriculum development. In
the classroom, she works hard at being inspiring and fun to
motivate her students. Her classes are dynamic and interactive.
