The mini parade route begins on California Street and Grant Avenue and ends at the stage on Jackson Street and Grant Avenue.
Bring your family and friends and spend the day in Chinatown at the annual Flower Fair where you can purchase new year’s flowers, plants, fruits and candies. The Flower Fair will be open until 9:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, February 3 from 9:00am-6:00pm

Celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Rat at the Asian Art Museum! Students of the Chinese American International School (CAIS) will perform traditional lion dance and Chinese percussion. After the performance, listen to Oliver Chin read from his book, Year of the Rat, and then create your own red envelopes (hung bao), decorate them with auspicious symbols, and fill with money to give to friends and family.
FREE with museum admission (kids 12 and under always admitted free!)
Activities offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Mandarin Classes in San Francisco
Chinese Cultural Center
The Winter 2008 Mandarin Classes will be held on ten Saturdays, beginning on Janurary 19, and ending on March 28 (break on Chinese New Year Weekend, Feb 23).
All classes are one hour and thirty minutes long. Class times are as follows:
Adult Level 3 - Intermediate Mandarin: 10:00am - 11:30am
Adult Level 2 - Advanced-Beginner Mandarin: 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Adult Level 1 - Beginner Mandarin: 1:45pm - 3:15pm
